Doing the first of three nights here at the Halifax Yuk’s Club and I’m debating doing my new snow song tonight or not, because the crowd is small, I don’t know if I want to try something that may not get the reception that justifies testing out new material. On one hand they are a good crowd, but on the other hand they’re what I call a Dentist Crowd because getting them to laugh out is like pulling teeth, they’re having a good night, but they’re not expressing it out loud by laughing much. If you looked at everyone in the crowd they’re smiling and clearly having a nice time, but when you’re onstage and can’t see them because of the lights in your eyes you go with what you can hear and right now I’m not hearing anything except the occasional laugh.

In the end I decided not to do the new material tonight. I’ll save it for tomorrow.
