It’s the start of a new year, and a whole new type of show, as I was asked by Tanar Repchull to perform in a show at Jacob’s Lounge on the 10th of January, and this would be as part of a Hip Hop show, which I was kind of nervous about, but the thing is you need to try things in life that you normally wouldn’t, and as well you can’t fear any stage (Unless that stage is a tank filled with Sharks with Frikin’ Laser Beams attached to their heads…in which case you are permitted to fear it.)

I showed up early, and sat through the show until it was my turn to perform, and as much as I’d like to think I didn’t do well enough to count this as a great show, I will have to admit that I did better than I’d thought, and there was some great audience participation in parts from the audience, so I enjoyed the experience nevertheless. There were a few people in the audience who came to me afterwards and said they enjoyed my set, so clearly that was a win as well, and everyone made me feel very welcome being there, so it definitely was worth trying.

If I was to go back though, I’d have to look into having more hip hop songs or stylin’ rather than my usual fare.
